So, a few months ago I featured the Kilchoman (Spring 2011 Release) Single Malt Scotch Whisky at the unbelievably low cost of $49.99/bottle. I did this on the heels of a special I ran for the Kilchoman (Summer 2010 Release) Single Malt Scotch Whisky, which the Malt Advocate named “Artisan Whisky of the Year”. Oddly enough, the Spring 2011 Release didn’t sell very well. I’m sure it had to do with the fact that it had yet to be rated.
Well, I just checked the Malt Advocate and they rated the Spring 2011 Release 89pts. That’s a HUGE score for such a young distillery. Now, the Summer 2010 Release was named “Artisan Whisky of the Year” with a score of 85pts. I’d bet money the Spring 2011 Release will win the same honors especially since they got a higher score.
Malt Advocate lists a price of $65/bottle. I could raise the price, but I’m not. I will leave it on sale for $49.99/bottle. However, I would suggest you order while it’s available. A product like this tends to be gone long before it wins an award. And I’m giving you the heads up that they will win the award.
