Today’s special, the red hot FIRST RELEASE of Raymond Vineyards’ Red “Field Blend” is a HUGE discovery! Raymond Reserve’s 2008 Field Blend pulls together Raymond’s strongest varietals (Cab/Zin/Syrah/Merlot) AND HERE’S THE BEST PART: Philippe Melka made this wine, yes, the same person who made Dominus, Quintessa, Hundred Acre, Vineyard 29, and countless other Cult Collectibles. If that’s not enough, consider this: Robert Parker called Melka “one of the top 9 wine consultants in the world”!!!

Here’s the Good News: I DISCOUNTED Raymond’s Field Blend to $10/bottle, that’s 33% down from the regular price of $15! Remember folks, Philippe Melka is behind this dynamite effort but you have to act now-I took advantage of the wholesaler’s August pricing, so once I sell out-this goes up $5/bottle! Grab this domestic dream with both hands!!!

Never say never. That’s the one thing I’ve learned in the liquor industry. I’m constantly meeting with reps from different companies who are telling me they’re putting together a “one time only” deal. Truthfully, these deals are usually based on the rep needing to make a sales number. Believe me. It’s only a “one time only” deal until they need to make that sales number, again.

That’s what happened with Corazon Blanco Tequila. Corazon is GREAT tequila! All of their tequilas are rated between 93-96pts and retailed for about $45-$50/bottle. About 5 months ago I got a visit from the Corazon sales rep. He said they were dropping the wholesale cost on all the Corazon’s, but were giving a bigger discount with a large buy on Blanco. He said it was a “one time only” deal. Long story short, I took the deal, featured it in an e-mail and sold it out. Fast forward to today. The “one time only” deal is back on, which doesn’t surprise me. I’m going to put the Corazon Blanco on sale for the wholesale cost of $19.67/bottle. This is a 94pt tequila that’s being discounted 56% off the original release price. Enjoy!

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it 100 times. “Young” whiskeys are HOT, HOT, HOT. I recently promoted the Tuthilltown Baby Bourbon and Whipper Snapper, which are both at the forefront of the “Youth Revolution.” Now, these whiskies are young, but they still have many months of barrel time. Today’s special has a whopping 72 hours in a barrel: Death’s Door White Whisky.

White whiskey goes by a few other names… White Lightening, Mountain Dew, Moonshine and Rotgut. Call it what you will. It’s basically un-aged whiskey. Back in the day, this stuff was pretty nasty. Nowadays, it’s all the rage. Distilleries are refining the techniques to give this spirit complexity and depth. Death’s Door was one of the first on the market and one of my favorites. To really get into un-aged whiskey, you really need to try a few and compare. Believe it or not, they are ALL different. I’m going to put the Death’s Door White Whisky on sale for $29.99/bottle. The average cost is about $40/bottle. Take advantage of this price while you can.

Known colloquially as Petit Chateaux, the following small-production, artisan producers outshone many other wineries at four times the price!!! These wines BLEW ME AWAY — Check out my video tasting note. So I put together a 2005 Petit Chateaux 6 Pack Deal. For the last few months, I’ve been getting some really highly allocated and extremely hard to get beers. It’s amazing what opportunities present themselves once you start doing more business with a distributor. Today, I’m going to be featuring a rare and highly allocated beer. How rare and allocated? Well, it’s only made once a year and the average store only got one case. However, we’re not average. We got three cases.

I’m fortunate enough to be promoting the 12 edition of the Terrapin Side Project: Terrapin Hopzilla Double India Pale Ale. Unless you’re a “hop-head” you probably aren’t familiar with Terrapin beers, but rest assured this brewery is making some incredible beer. Hopzilla got 94/100</a> from Ratebeer.com and my distributor is already sold out. The Side Projects are a one time release, which means once current release is gone it gone forever. It’s so rare I almost didn’t want to sample one of the bottles… but I did. It was worth it. Now, 36 bottles isn’t a lot. If you are going to order it then do it now.

When Kermit Lynch calls me to say he is dropping the price on his 94 point 2007 Gigondas by nearly 30%, my reply is “I’ll take it all!!!” Domaine les Pallieres is owned and run by Kermit Lynch AND Chateauneuf du Pape legend Vieux Telegraphe, and their Rhone Valley genius-production from the HISTORIC 2007 vintage is all the more extraordinary considering today’s BLOWOUT price: $24.95/bottle!!!

On Kermit Lynch, Robert Parker declared him to be this “country’s most important, influential and, dare I say, historically significant importer of fine wine!” As such, Lynch is an authority on wine, especially from the southern Rhone, plus the sub-region of Gigondas boasts the same sublime, powerhouse flavors as Chateauneuf du Pape for a fraction of the price.

Parker scored this sensational discovery 94 points. Importantly, I only secured 14 cases, and that was it. This is DRINKING NOW and will improve over the next 10+ years, at least! Do not wait on this one! Cheers!

If you’ve read my eLetters and seen my videos, then you know I’m not a huge fan of peaty Scotches. Most peaty Scotches come from Islay, as most of you already know. Now, I don’t have a problem with peat in a whisky, but the trend in the industry is to see how much peat they can jam in a bottle. As far as I’m concerned, it’s like chewing on peat and I don’t like it. Of course, I don’t have to like it. All I have to do is sell it and I sell A LOT OF IT! However, there are some exceptions.

There are some whiskies from Islay that I do like. They are Bowmore, Bunnahabhain and Bruichladdich. They use peat, but it doesn’t smack you in the face. Today, I’m going to be featuring the Bowmore Combo Pack. This Combo Pack includes (1) Bowmore Legend 750ml and (1) Bowmore 15yr 750ml. I’m going to put this combo pack on sale for my wholesale cost of $80.18/combo pack. Just in case you were wondering, the Legend is $25.09 and the 15yr is $55.09. Not only that, but I’m going to offer free shipping on it. How can you go wrong? Everyone should be taking advantage of this deal. If I didn’t own the joint, even I would buy this deal.
