In-Store ONLY Promotion!

This is going to be simple and straightforward. I just got in my allocation of the Parkers Heritage Collection Master Distillers Blend of Mashbills 6th Edition Bourbon Whiskey. It will be on sale for $79.99/bottle. My allocation is very small and I’ve already sold a fair bit of them. Good luck!

When you are talking about the top wine producer in Chile, there is only one name: Montes Winery. Montes made the super-premium Chilean wine market what it is today. One of their top and most sought after release is the Purple Angel Apalta Vineyard Carmenere. The last few releases received mid-90pt ratings from Robert Parker and I can guarantee you the 2010, which I just got in, will bring a similar score.

Now, the funny thing about this wine is it becomes in demand once the score is released. The problem is I’m usually sold out when that happens. That means you want to jump on it now. I’m putting it on sale for $49.99/bottle, which is a standard price for any retailer who gets behind this wine. However, when you buy 6 or more bottles I will give you free ground shipping. It is most definitely an expensive wine, but I can show you even more that are WAY higher in price and don’t get as high a score. It’s worth the investment.

Troegs Mad Elf is THE most sought after winter seasonal out there, hands down. So, what the heck is Mad Elf? Well it’s a beer brewed with a combination of cherries, honey, and chocolate malts and then fermented and aged with a unique yeast. It has a gorgeous ruby red beer has significant warming strength (read: it will knock your socks off!). It received a 93 point rating from ratebeer.com and is only released once a year. You’re probably saying to yourself, “It’s not even Halloween yet and we’re talking about holiday beers?!” I’m telling you, if you wait it’s going to be gone within a few days, if not hours. Order it up NOW!!!!

We sell a lot of Cameron Hughes’s wines here at Shoppers Vineyard. In fact, we are the exclusive NJ retailer on some of his wines so if you’re looking for them you can only get them here. Of course, no matter how much we sell Cameron WILL NEVER tell us exactly where he gets his juice. In the long run it doesn’t really matter because we sell whatever we get, but it’s human nature to want to know.

So, the newest release to walk in the door is the Cameron Hughes Cabernet Sauvignon Lot 246. We did an initial offering to our long-time CH customers and we have about 15 cases left. I’m going to put it on sale for $17.99/bottle, but the big question is what would I compare it to? To put it another way, what winery do I think this Lot came from? My educated guess would be either Chimney Rock ($55) or Stag’s Leap Artemis ($42), but I’m leaning towards Chimney Rock. Just remember that’s an educated guess. I wouldn’t put “good’ money on it. Either way you’re getting a very expensive Cabernet for a fraction of the price. Don’t wait to order.

Last year, we ran a special on the 2004 Bodegas Ondarre Rioja Reserva. This eLetter was a HUGE success mainly because it was ranker #58 on the Wine Spectator “Top 100”. Well, I just got in the new vintage and the rumor from the distributor is it will once again crack the Top 100. Is that guaranteed? No! But if it does, you will be sorry that you didn’t take advantage of this deal. So, now to the offer..

Bodegas Ondarre Rioja Reserva 2005 is a full flavored Rioja with ripe black fruit, coffee, chocolate and a spicy finish. It’s a dangerous wine because it is so smooth that you can drink it all day. It’s that good! The shelf price will be $12.99/bottle. However, we are going to offer the same case deal we did last year which was $120/case. That breaks down to $10/bottle. Personally, I don’t care if it cracks the Top 100 or not. It’s an incredible bottle of wine that you should jump all over. Enjoy!

Last week I did a video featuring Auchentoshan Classic Single Malt Scotch Whisky. This promotion was a HUGE success mainly because we have a large Kosher clientele. As a result, I’ve decided to promote another Kosher Certified whisky, The Speyside 12yr Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

This whisky is 100% Kosher and has Kosher certification on the label. It normally retails for $37.99/bottle, but for the rest of the week I’m going to put it on sale for $32.99/bottle. You aren’t going to find too many 12yr whiskies for that price especially ones that are certified. Pick up a bottle and I promise you won’t be disappointed. It’s perfect to serve to company when you don’t want to use the “good stuff”.

If you like Spanish Rosado’s then do I have a deal for you! Bodegas Campos de Enanzo Garnacha Rosado Navarra 2011, which the New York Times rated 3 stars, is taking up space on my selling floor and I want to move it thought the system. Normally $12/bottle, I’m going to offer it to you for the incredible price of $5.99/bottle. That’s a great price since it was the second highest wine rated in the article. Here’s a little more info on the wine:

“Wine made from the oldest vines we have via the traditional free-run technique. Grape must, obtained by gravity alone is then macerated for a few hours on the skins. The wine is then fermented without the skins at controlled temperatures in order to retain the fruity aromas of the grapes. The result is a raspberry-pink wine with attractive fresh aromas of ripe watermelon and strawberry. Smooth and tasty on the palate with a spicy finish.”
